Special Projects

We are always interested in being part of unique and useful projects that benefit all who are involved. The spirit of inventiveness is very strong within our organization, and we are always willing to take on a new challenge. Some of the projects that we are currently working on include control systems for Wind Turbines and Agricultural Electrostatic Sprayers.

Wind Turbine Controller

In the case of the Wind Turbine controller, we implemented many features to ensure efficiency, safety, and ease of use in deployed turbines. For instance, the system is capable of feathering and slowing the speed of the turbine when wind speeds are too high. Also, the system is able to shut down the turbine if there is a grid or electrical failure. The most exciting feature in this case is control of the system through an iPhone Application. One can view the status of a turbine, and also control them from their iPhone.

Agricultural Spraying

An Electrostatic Sprayer is an agricultural sprayer used for treating plants with pesticides. It is different than a regular sprayer in that it adds a microprocessor controlled high voltage charge to the fine particles in the spray. Charging the particles allows the mist to stick to the plants more easily, this means that technicians using the sprayer send less pesticides into the environment, and also save money on expensive chemicals. Our product provides a consistent, high voltage current to the sprayer ensuring that it runs properily. WIthout a high voltage current, the spray would simply float away due to how fine the particles are.
