TCX2™ - Commercial Tracker Controller

The Lauritzen Tracker Controller, TCX2, is a cost effective, microprocessor-based motor controller suitable for single or dual axis solar tracking applications. It is a RS-485 network-ready controller, and may be configured to operate as a single collector unit, or be part of a larger commercial solar tracking array. The controller is plug-compatible with standard electromechanical actuators, including, Venture Manufacturing’s linear actuators and slewing drives from Kinematics Manufacturing.

Features:

• Option to connect external precision inclinometer for elevation control.
• Many safety features for motors including Dual H-Bridge DC motor drivers, and built-in motor current sensing—prevents current spikes, extending life motor life
• Built-in support for single and dual channel encoders as well as limit switches per motor
• Built-in support for emergency stop
• 24V DC systems for motor and controls, with wide input supply voltage range (6-40V DC)
• Remote monitor, control, re-program, and upgrade via the network—preserves investment in infrastructure
• System management, including remote software updates, parameters for motor operation and range limits.
• RS-485 interface with 2.5KV galvanic isolation
• Available in Nema-4X/IP66 Fiberglass enclosure.
• Push buttons for ServiceMode, Reset, Calibration, StopOverride, and motor controls.
• 14 Diagnostic LED’s for anything from power, through system diagnostic, to encoder input status.
