The SCX2™ Stand Alone Controller
The stand-alone solar tracker controller – SCX2™, is designed to operate a single dual-axis or two single-axis solar trackers. It is based on the TCX2™ hardware platform, and packaged with a set of software modules to make it a complete solar tracker controller. It may operate in a field of other SCX2™ managed trackers; however, each unit will operate autonomously. The tracker’s target goal (the Sun’s position) is calculated using the current longitude, latitude and local time-of-day. SCX™ can safely park the solar tracker in storm conditions—reducing losses and recovering the investment made in the control systems from Lauritzen Inc. The iPhone App (Heimdal) can also be used for remote control.
