Lauritzen has examined the feasibility of adapting our solar tracker technology to the control of wind turbine power systems. Many of the functions and principle of solar power control directly correlate for wind. For instance, the system is capable of feathering and slowing the speed of the turbine when wind speeds are too high. The system can shut down the turbine if there is a grid or electrical failure. The most exciting feature is the ability to control system via an iPhone or iPad.
